School psychologists work with children within the educational system.  They work in both public and private schools assessing and counseling children and doing behavioral interventions when needed.  School psychologists collaborate with teachers, parents and other school personnel to help children with both learning disabilities and those who are gifted and talented and require a more challenging curriculum.

Jobs in school psychology help children with learning and behavioral issues, make suggestions to teachers for classroom management and offer helpful parenting techniques.  They work closely with the teachers to create the best learning environment possible for the children.  School psychologists also work in district offices to help resolve students’ behavioral and learning problems.
